Saccharomyces boulardii is a healthy, probiotic yeast. Yeast-based probiotics are unique because they're not harmed by the drugs and chemicals that can damage other probiotics and bacteria. This makes Saccharomyces boulardii the perfect choice for dogs with guts stressed by gut-harming drugs, like antibiotics and chemicals.
This friendly yeast delivers other gut benefits too. It helps maintain a healthy gut lining and studies show S. boulardii can influence parts of the immune system that maintain proper gut permeability.
Most probiotics are in a maltodextrin carrier, which is the highest known glycemic ingredient. All of our probiotics are made in small batches without any high glycemic ingredients.
