ZYMOX® Medicated Shampoo provides pet owners with a special enzyme formula to help treat skin infections. It contains the enzymes lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase, and lysozyme, which help the immune system get rid of harmful bacteria and fungi. These enzymes are all derived from milk.

This new formulation features the addition of Avena Sativa (oat) extract, creating a hypoallergenic formulation. These new products will be ideal for the animal experiencing sensitive, dry, irritated, or itchy skin.

Avena Sativa extract is derived from oat, also known as oat extract, and used in many skin and hair products. It is beneficial in helping to aid in healing itchy, raw, dry skin.

Note: ZYMOX Advanced Enzymatic Shampoo and Conditioner does not contain oatmeal. These products contain Avena sativa (oat extract).

Some dogs or cats can be allergic to oats but these are typically from oral ingestion.  However, introduction of some allergens/irritants can be introduced from dry or cracked skin.   For a pet with known oat allergens it is not recommended to use a shampoo or conditioner with oats, oatmeal or colloidal oatmeal.   While our oat extract may be beneficial for most dogs or cats with dry skin, for a pet with a known hypersensitivity to oat, it is not recommended to use the new formulation of shampoo and conditioner.

Purified Water, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Lauroamphodiacetate, PEG-150 Distearate, Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate, Sodium Chloride, Quaternium-15, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Citric Acid, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultain, Flavor, Fragrance, Cellulose Gum, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Extract, Zinc Gluconate, Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), Lysozyme, Lactoferrin, Lactoperoxidase, Potassium Iodide, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid.

~ Wet fur and skin thoroughly.
~ Apply shampoo directly to fur, lather and wash entire animal, concentrating on problem areas.
~ Leave lather on for 3 to 5 minutes then rinse completely. Repeat if needed.and gently massage into scalp.
~ Follow with ZYMOX® Advanced Enzymatic Conditioner for extra support of healthy skin.
~ Wet fur and skin thoroughly.
~ Apply shampoo to fur, lather and gently massage into scalp.
~ Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water; shampoo again if necessary.
~ Let animal shake dry or lightly pat dry with towel.
