Slippery Elm is a herb that moonlights as a digestive aid (thanks, elm!). Lubricating and coating the protective layers of the bowel, it acts as the first defense against inflammation by keeping foods, grass, or things your pet shouldn’t be eating, from causing further irritation. Think of slippery elm as a bowel lozenge if you will. A lozenge coats the sore throat, lubricating it so it’s easier to swallow food and liquids. Slippery Elm does this for your pet’s bowels. Inflammation is reduced, and the not-so-pleasant symptoms of GI upset are eased.

Dog and cat digestive issues can be a pain for pet parents (and your pet’s backend) but Slippery Elm can help. Not only may it help ease occasional constipation and gastric distress, but it can help a dog or kitty with diarrhea too. When the bowels are protected, your furry friend can start eating regularly again, shortening recovery time so they can get back on their adorable paws quicker.
